III John Vs. 2
"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health,
even as thy soul prospereth."
Looking back, can it really have
been since January that we wrote to you all, where has the time gone?
Please forgive us for not reporting to you sooner!
The church is doing well. It's
never ceased to amaze us how God supplies the need to keep the monthly bills and
the mortgage paid. His benefits are Great!
While out on visitation I had the
privilege to lead a young woman to the Lord. Follow up has been difficult.
Please pray for Brittany. We've been there several times but no one is
every home. I ran into a man that my wife had led his 8 year old daughter
to the Lord. He knows he needs to be saved, like so many. He said,
that he'd be in church, but he hasn't come yet. Please pray for Rich
McIntire-he and his wife are getting a divorce, and he knows he's running from
God.
We
are still preaching and holding revival meetings. We had a good meeting in
April, in Aliquippa, PA. Then we preached a tent meeting in June at
Selbyville, WV. We then had a tent meeting at our church with Dr. D.H.
Easter, from AL. God met in all of these meetings with Christians doing
business with God. We had cottage prayer meetings at the homes of our
members, getting ready for our tent meeting at the church. They sure
were precious, we didn't want just another meeting, but for God to do business
and we believe he did.
Health: For 20 years I've had
back pain. In April it began to come to a head. I've been in and out
of the hospital five times since March. I have Lumbar Stenosis and a
pinched nerve down my left hip and leg. I can't stand or sit. I've
been on the flat of my back since June 12th. I have never let my health
interfere with preaching, but the
pain has been so severe that I had
to leave Selbyville meeting a day early. I am having Epidural shots.
I've had one, which hasn't helped and the others are scheduled for July
15th and 22nd. I went to the doctor today, July 7th, and he's scheduling
me for another MRI and referring me to a back surgeon. Please pray that
Our Great Physician will touch my body.
It's just killing me that I have bee
out of the pulpit. We have men in the church taking care of Wednesday and
Sunday night services and using preacher friends for Sunday Morning.
Please pray God continue to bless our church and that the people stay faithful.
Judy has been taking good care of
me, like a nurse. My little buddy Billy, our 15 year old poodle has been
right at my side.
Please
pray for a dear friend of mine, Pastor Bill Clark, of Mt View Baptist Church, of
Hagerstown, MD. He's in ICU at John Hopkins, in Baltimore. He has been
ill for sometime. He has pneumonia, an infection, which they can't find,
his organs are beginning to shut down, and he's on a ventilator. Please
pray for him and his family during this difficult time.
We Thank You for your continued
love, prayers and support.
