Dear Financial and Prayer Supporters,
Psalm 135:1 “Praise
ye the LORD. Praise ye the name of the LORD; praise him, O ye servants of the
LORD.” The Lord is worthy to be praised. Judy
and I began ministering in the Appalachian area thirty one years ago when
we started a church, then on the road steady and here at this church. We don’t
think we could walk on flat land. I turn 64 and Judy turns 59 on March
8th 09. Someone said when will you retire, we said when you read in the
obituaries we died, that means we retired.
Our church has been struggling in many
ways like others, however the bills at the church are paid. Judy and I have lost
several financial supporters in 2008 but we trusted God when we
started this adventure and will continue trusting until the end.
Praise the Lord we’ve had some saved lately. Christmas Eve
God saved two teenagers in their home Bless the lamb. Best gifts they had ever
received.
We had for the first time
Winter Bible School
for three days during school break. God saved four during this meeting.
We never know what God will do until we try it. We had the privilege to
Baptize some lately. It’s always good to see newly saved folk follow the Lord in
Biblical Bible Baptism.
I really look forward to Spring weather for our visiting.
Folk are more apt to open the door and talk to you. We have a large Jehovah
Witness assembly two mile away, but here in the country. I’ve thought of making
signs for our church to wear “We Are Not Jehovah Witness”. I've said that when
approaching someone standing in their own yard out on visitation, they were
thankful I did, and more open to us.
We have three tent meetings scheduled for this Summer. Last
year was a disaster with my back surgery and spending three months in bed. Lord
willing this year we will be up running. We praise the Lord for all these years
with the Gospel Tent, and all the storms, rain, wind, lightning, we have no
holes or tears. Praise His Wholly Name! Thank God for all the souls that were
saved under the tent. Amen!
Judy is having trouble with her legs and back. She does not
sleep well. She works tirelessly in the ministry. Please pray for Judy and our
ministry here. So much work to do and so little time left in which to do it.
Thanks for sticking with us here!
God bless you our Friends
